Summer RainThe heat of life’s trials and tribulations are burning down on my back. My back is blistered and bleeding. The vultures are circling. I look off into the sky with my blood stained tears and scream my anguish with bleeding chapped lips. I had hoped that the sun would cleanse my soul. I was never the purist one. As I gratefully welcome death on the desert floor that is my own personal hell. Thunder rumbles in the distance. The temperature drops and wild winds whip around my dry cracked skin.
